History

In the early 1970s Ibu Tien Soeharto proposed turning part of a large rubber estate here into a campground for Indonesia's scouts (Pramuka). It opened for the 1973 Jambore Nasional and is managed by the national scout headquarters, Kwartir Nasional. Sources give its area as between 198 and 210 hectares; construction of the Jagorawi toll road separated it from the neighbouring Wiladatika park.

What to see and do

Walk or cycle the shaded tracks, rent a pedal boat on Danau Situbaru, try the flying fox and rope courses, or simply picnic on the big camping fields. The site has rentable tents of various sizes, sound systems and firewood, plus barracks, guesthouses and bungalows, football pitches and places of worship for several faiths.

Tips

Weekend mornings are lively with community exercise classes and food sellers; weekdays are quiet. Ticket prices above date from 2023–2024 reports and were still being quoted in 2026, so treat them as a guide. Bring insect repellent and water, and see our green escapes guide for nearby parks.

Getting there

The entrance is close to the Cibubur exit of the Jagorawi toll road. Grab or Gojek is easiest; Mikrotrans JAK 73 runs between Jambore Cibubur and Pasar Rebo.

Can I camp at Buperta Cibubur without my own tent?

Yes. Tents and camping equipment can be hired on site; book via the official contact on buperta.id.
